Greetings!

I am Kathleen (Kathy) Kirsch, and licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and also as a Professional Clinical Counselor. I work virtually and in person with adults only, both individuals and couples. I have been practicing since 1997, giving me over 25 years in the field.

My background and qualifications

I received my counseling Master’s degree from the University of San Diego in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. I have received specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, culminating in my attaining Diplomate status from the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. My other specialty area is couples counseling. I am Certified in Relational Life Therapy, a couple’s approach created by Terry Real.

Let’s work together to become “unstuck.”

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Relational Life Therapy and other approaches, I will work with you to help you address your challenges and improve your situation. I take a collaborative approach. Many folks come to therapy with a feeling of being “stuck.” Working together, we will look for solutions to assist you on your way to being “unstuck.” Each client or couple obtains a customized plan to meet their unique needs.

On a personal note:

I am a fellow traveler. I am continually learning how to improve my relationships every day. As a therapist of today, I do not preach from on high; instead, I roll up my sleeves and go on the journey with you, utilizing my experience and expertise to assist you in getting to where you want and need to be.
